The staff of Captain Shreve High School, mindful of the needs of our students and of the community, as well as the talents of our faculty, has developed a unique and challenging liberal arts curriculum and a high-tech pre-engineering program available to qualified applicants throughout the parish. Captain Shreve has been designated by the Caddo Parish School Board as an Engineering and Liberal Arts Magnet.

CAPTAIN SHREVE ENGINEERING PREP MAGNET
Admission Guidelines:
Captain Shreve High School has incorporated a challenging high-tech pre-engineering program available to qualified applicants within its own district and across the parish.
To apply for the program the student will need to present evidence of the following:
at or above the 50th percentile in Total Math and Total Reading.
2.5 GPA required to be accepted in the program and to remain in the program.
Grades of "B" or better are preferred in English/Language Arts and Reading in the 8th grade for incoming freshmen; "B" or better in enriched English and social studies courses at the high school level for students entering the program as upperclassmen.
