Times – Captain Shreve’s Watts plays with broken appendage

Watts led the Lady Gators (19-11) into the second round of the LHSAA Class 5A state playoffs and for that, she earned Times Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 12. Against Central-Baton Rouge on the road, the sophomore went 5-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored. She added two more hits against Walker in the second round and hit .394 on the season with 10 doubles, 27 RBIs and 16 runs.
