Every time the month enveloping Halloween rolls around, Li’Quesni October walks around the Captain Shreve campus with a smile on his face.
It’s his favorite month for obvious reasons. He likes most of the other ones too, but his friends have to love October in October.
“Indeed,” he said on Wednesday afternoon.
One of the best strong safeties in the area and one who is getting looks to play at the next level, October rarely gets beat on the football field. That’s because he has near world class speed and has an after-burner that kicks in when an opponent tries to go deep.
“I’ve got good recovery speed, and I like to play aggressively physical,” October said of his defensive assets. “I love hitting. I love bringing the contact more than receiving it.”
