Louisiana baseball teams may have endured a shortened season, but the Captain Shreve baseball team still managed to land at least four, possibly seven, seniors with spots to play at the next level.
Mark Mitchell, Jake Tyndall, Steven Cassidy and Kaidyn Harrell have all found landing sports with Alden Moore expected to sign by the end of the month. Two additional seniors are expected to be college walk-ons.
“This is a testament to the hard work these players have put in,” Gator coach Todd Sharp said. “Especially during a shortened season, we are fortunate to have players with opportunities to play after high school. We have five baseball coaches who all played college baseball and we all teach at Shreve. Three of us went the JUCO route, then to a 4-year school. We understand how difficult it is to find a place to play.”
